About a half-mile section of the Tennessee Riverwalk will be closed for almost a month for pump station bypass work, a news release from the Hamilton County Mayor’s Office states.

The riverwalk from the bridge at the rowing center to the end of the boardwalk at Scrappy Moore Field will be closed beginning Monday through Nov. 4 for work on a redundancy bypass around the Citico Pump Station, the release from the mayor’s office states.

Also, the riverpark boat ramp will be closed Oct. 18 at 9 p.m. and reopen on Oct. 20 at 6 a.m. to allow preparations for the Saturday, Oct. 19, ceremony honoring the Fallen Five, according to the Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Department.
