Happy National Stepfamily Day! It wasn’t until 2000 that the United States Census Bureau began collecting information on these types of household relationships. But thanks to that data as well as other surveys, we now know that more than 40% of American adults have at least one step relative, and that an estimated 1,300 new stepfamilies are forming every day.
