Four people were killed early Sunday morning after a fire broke out at a home on the 1400 block of Carousel Road, according to a news release.
Upon arrival, the Chattanooga Fire Department reported heavy fire coming from the structure.
Firefighters were able to pull three women and one man from the structure who all died in the fire. Their ages ranged from 35 to 85, the release states.
Emergency officials transported one 35-year-old man to Erlanger Hospital for smoke inhalation. The man was able to climb out of a second-story bedroom window to escape prior to rescue crews arriving.
