A ‘Project Runway’ moment
I am a huge fan of “Project Runway.” I’ve seen every single episode of the original series, many of them more than once, much to my partner Jon’s dismay. And today, Jan. 7, local retailer Alice Blue Boutique is giving me (and others, of course) the chance to live my dream. Former “Project Runway” and “Project Runway All Stars” contestant Johnathan Kayne Gillaspie will have 30 of his couture gowns available for purchase at the Riverside shop, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting CHI Memorial’s PINK! campaign and MaryEllen Locher Breast Center. Stephen and Shawn Yearick, who have designed gowns for the likes of Vanessa Williams, will also have some of their one-of-a-kinds on hand for fittings during store hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
