Jack’s Family Restaurants is continuing its march into the Chattanooga market with a new eatery slated to open in Red Bank before Thanksgiving.

Demolition on a former Rite Aid pharmacy at Dayton Boulevard and Ashland Terrace already has begun with plans for the restaurant submitted and reviewed by the city, said Red Bank City Manager Tim Thornbury.

“We’re glad to see it,” he said. “It’s better than a vacant building or another parking lot. I think they’ll do fine. That’s a good location.”

The new eatery marks another step in the Birmingham-based fast food chain’s plan for eight to 10 locations in the Chattanooga area within the next year or so. The Red Bank unit will be the group’s seventh in the market.

Earlier this summer, Jack’s opened its newest restaurant on Hixson Pike near Cassandra Smith Road.
