A video uploaded late Friday night shows a protester in Chattanooga being hit by a car near the Chattanooga Convention Center.

The incident happened between 10 and 10:30 p.m. as protesters were making their way down Carter Street before heading to the Westside neighborhood.

The video shows a small group of dispersed protesters ahead of the main group. A car approaches Carter Street from a side street and makes a right turn on Carter Street and comes in contact with a man who was standing in the middle of the street.

The car then drives off as protesters tried to chase the vehicle down.

Elisa Myzal, spokesowman with the Chattanooga Police Department, said no one has reported the incident to dispatch as of Saturday at noon.
