Home Stretch, of Sorts
Back when my days had structure and I wasn’t preparing for a home appraisal, I alternated between at-home morning workouts of circuit training and yoga. Completing a Jillian Michaels routine always made me feel accomplished, but it was yoga that made me feel the most healthy. The focus on body and breath provided an all-around centering experience that I was able to feel throughout my day.
To fit my schedule, and since I had previous in-person studio experience, I relied on the Down Dog app for those grounding morning sequences. Then COVID-19 hit the U.S. and I fell off the wagon as so many others climbed aboard.
These days, our own local yoga studios and workout facilities are reaching more and more people through apps and on-demand content. And I’m betting we could all use a sense of grounding and accomplishment.
