* The Brand: Pruett's
* Location: 1210 Taft Highway, Signal Mountain
* History: Pruett's Market started in 1953 when A.C. Pruett was on his way to the Chattanooga Market from Big Ridge, N.C. He was carrying a load of cabbage to sell there when his truck broke down on East Third Street in downtown Chattanooga. Pruett decided to sell his cabbage right there out of the bed of his truck, and Pruett's Food Town was born. The family grocery business continues today with A.C.'s grandson, Chuck Pruett, who purchased it in 2015. Pruett's has undergone several remodels and evolved into what it is today: The grocery store of the Signal Mountain community.
* Products: Pruett's is dedicated to having the necessary, basic items customers need, along with the specialty items they want. The store partners with local companies to help support the community and its customers. Pruett's offers a wide variety of organic, natural, and healthy options, and caters to those who have dietary restrictions. The store features the Community Hub, a family-centered outdoor patio, for live music, fun events, or just to sit back and enjoy one of the meals the deli prepares daily.
