Despite differences, we must pull together
It is my responsibility as a citizen to vote, not to riot, burn, pillage, terrorize or kill, to uphold my values and to change what I feel must be changed.
I do not like Donald Trump as a person. I find him ill-mannered and boorish, but I do like the principles he supports. I am pro-life. I support border control (what other nation would allow unlimited access to its borders?) I agree that mob rule has no place in America. I support peaceful protests.
Even if I do not agree with what you say or depict in art, books, magazines and newspapers, I support your right to state your opinion as I state mine. I support Trump’s financial acumen and benefit from it as we all do.
I support our police and agree wholeheartedly that the bad apples must go. Stricter background checks could be applied before initial hiring and much less tolerance for violations of procedures should be tolerated. Just as Caesar’s wife was held to a higher standard, so must the police and those who supervise them.
