I had the pleasure of meeting a freshman journalism student from Georgetown University via webchat today. Naturally, when he asked if I had a mantra that kept me motivated throughout the pandemic, I told him what my editors and I have been saying since the early days of COVID-19: “It’s a marathon, not a sprint.” Then, I told him that I should heed my own advice more.

We’re all tired of the coronavirus, which is what makes this week’s news of its resurgence across the region and country even more disheartening. So for whoever needs to hear this right now – stay vigilant, take care of yourself and know that you’re not alone.
