Amazon looks to fill 100 jobs in Chattanooga, Charleston

Online retailer Amazon has more than 100 open posts at its Chattanooga and Charleston, Tennessee, distribution centers which officials hope to fill next week at a virtual hiring event.

Across Tennessee, the company has more than 1,100 open corporate and tech jobs, the company said on Wednesday.

The Southeast Tennessee jobs at Amazon are not part of peak holiday season hiring, said a company spokeswoman.

Amazon will host Career Day 2020 on Sept. 16. Registration is open and job seekers can find more information, including how to sign up for a career coaching session, at, according to the company.

As part of the nationwide virtual event, Amazon will give attendees the opportunity to learn about the 33,000 corporate and tech jobs currently available at the company with thousands of additional hourly positions across the company's operations network to be announced soon, the online retail giant said.
