Greetings, outdoorspeople!
- Weekend forecast: Saturday; high 71, sunny/ Sunday; high 73, mostly sunny
- Recommended adventure: If you ever wanted to name a baby penguin, here’s your chance. Bid high enough and you could help the Tennessee Aquarium name one of the two Gentoo penguins that hatched this year. The online auction ends tomorrow! Learn more about the aquarium’s virtual Serve and Protect fundraiser here.
- Most interesting thing we’ve learned about nature this week: The Tennessee Wildlife Federation’s Hunters for the Hungry program is currently accepting deer donations to feed Tennessee families who are in need due to coronavirus. After hunters harvest a deer, they can donate to any of the 60 participating processors across the state, who will then process and donate the meat to community food banks or soup kitchens in need.
