A Long Road
I will never forget the date we shipped last year’s Travel Issue: Friday, March 13 – the day that everything changed.
That afternoon, as our head designer and I put the finishing touches on our “Live from New York” cover, Hamilton County recorded its first confirmed case of COVID-19.
I will not rehash the trials and losses of the past year. We have all lived it. But I will reiterate the point of my frantic rewrite of my editor’s letter that month: the need for a diversion, whether real or imagined, fleeting or extended.
So this week, we bring you stories from our 2021 Travel Issue to help you escape, and some examples of how travel changes us.
