Chattanooga weekend calendar includes last chance for Riverfront Nights, first chance to tour the Pinta

Staff File Photo / The Pinta, a Columbus replica ship, is docked at Ross's Landing during a previous visit to Chattanooga. The caravel returns Friday for a three-week stay. Tours are available daily.

A seafaring ship will dock in Chattanooga, local bartenders are crafting their best margaritas and an "American Idol" winner headlines the final installment of Riverfront Nights.

But before we get to the entertainment highlights, a reminder: The Rail & Hops Brewers Fest has been postponed because of rising COVID-19 rates, and others are enforcing stricter safety protocols. These include capacity limits, mask provisions and even requirements to show a vaccination card or negative results of a medically supervised COVID-19 test (the Keller Williams shows at The Caverns). It's best to call ahead or check websites for the latest information before you leave home.

- Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View, will host the newly expanded corps of Chattanooga Ballet for the premiere of "Capture" 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday. The choreography is inspired by the exhibition "Power, Passion & Pose: Photographs by Ken Browar and Deborah Ory."
