A GREENE-R SHADE OF REPUBLICANS?
U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who represents the folks just across the line in Georgia from Chattanooga, is not everyone’s cup of tea – even many Republicans – but she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty.
Last week, she got into a spat with U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, a fellow Republican of South Carolina, over what another Republican said about a Democratic House member. Got it? See below for my editorial on the congresswoman and how she believes the GOP is turning her way.
Meanwhile, in a week when the Hamilton County Board of Education is expected to hire its new superintendent, the state Department of Education has offered a new K-12 dashboard with which the public can make some judgments about its local school district.
Hamilton County Commissioner Tim Boyd has already made his judgment, though, and it’s not a good one. He unleashed a torrent of criticism on the district and its actions last week in The Tennessee Conservative, and it appeared online right around the time he told commissioners he wouldn’t be running again. Check out both editorials below, along with Ron Hart’s weekly take and a Cal Thomas commentary on last week’s Supreme Court hearing on the future of abortion.
