Your Thursday at a glance:
- Weather: High of 73, 80% chance of rain
- What to eat: If you’re looking for something warm on these gloomy days, here are some recipes for vegetable cabbage soup, an asparagus casserole and bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin. Also, feel free to submit your own requests for new recipes to try.
- What’s coming: For residents of this new Chattanooga apartment complex, a gym and a coffee shop will soon be just an elevator/staircase away.
- How to help: For more than a century, we, along with the help of the Chattanooga community, have raised thousands upon thousands of dollars for those in need through the Neediest Cases Fund. Here’s some history of the fundraiser and how you can still donate before the end of the year.
Good morning, Chattanooga!
Every year a small percentage of youth reach the top honor of being named an Eagle Scout.
And this year for the first time, joining those small ranks nationwide is a group of four Chattanooga area girls.
“It’s one of those things where, when I was younger I had no idea I would ever be able to do this,” said 16-year-old Anika Pierce of Cleveland. “Now to be a part of this first class and pave the way and open people’s eyes to what we as girls can do, is definitely a big honor.”
