Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office personnel immediately called for medical help Sunday morning when an inmate at Silverdale Detention Center was discovered having a medical emergency, a news release states.
Emergency medical personnel were called and the inmate, identified as Robert Leroy Ellison, 65, was pronounced deceased.
The sheriff’s office’s criminal investigations division was directed by Hamilton County District Attorney Neal Pinkston to investigate the death, according to the release.
No other details were available late Sunday, a sheriff’s office spokesperson said.
