Collegedale Chief of Police Brian Hickman has been placed on administrative leave following a Jan. 2 police chase that ended in Bradley County, according to a news release from Collegedale Police Department spokeswoman Bridgett Raper.

Citing possible violations of Collegedale police policies, City Manager Ted Rogers determined further investigation was necessary into the chase, which involved damage to Hickman's personal vehicle.

Rogers has requested the assistance of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office for an internal affairs investigation.
