On Aug. 1, Pet Placement Center will draw the winners of its Annual Raffle, bestowing nearly 50 gift cards for local restaurants and businesses. But first, Chattanooga’s oldest no-kill animal shelter is offering the public a chance to stock up on their luck and support the homeless animals in the shelter’s care. Each raffle ticket is $1.
“Like so many other small businesses and organizations, we have had many struggles to overcome that continue even now,” a release from the nonprofit states. “We were unable to have as many fundraisers or adoption events or to provide as many volunteer opportunities due to the pandemic.
“Despite the challenges of 2020, we were still able to find homes for 332 dogs and cats last year.”
Purchase tickets at petplacementcenter.charityproud.org/EventRegistration/Index/6479 or by calling 423-877-0738. The drawing will be live-streamed on the center’s Facebook page, though winners will be notified by phone.
