Two men have been arrested after a man was shot and killed in a vehicle as it fled early Friday morning from pursuers in another vehicle, according to a news release from the sheriff's office in Walker County, Georgia.
An investigation determined Clay Castleberry had been picked up while walking on Old Chattanooga Valley Road in Flintstone at around 3 a.m. Friday, the news release said. The vehicle was pursued by a second vehicle as shots were fired at the vehicle that Castleberry was riding in. Castleberry was killed during the incident, and his body was later found on Pace Road in Chickamauga, the news release states.
David Randy McKee and David Shane Bennett, both from Flintstone, have been arrested.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected, the release states.
