  • What to eat: Everything is better with ranch. Try ranch chicken salad.
  • What to listen to: Leon Bridges’ third studio album “Gold-Diggers Sound.”
  • What we’re excited about: These awesome future leaders of Chattanooga.

Greetings, Chattanooga!

For 22 straight years, TFP sports editor Stephen Hargis has toured schools in the Chattanooga area on the first day teams are allowed to practice in full pads in Tennessee. It is one of my favorite things that he does, and yesterday, he toured 15 schools in a little over 12 hours, covering 229 miles. Read about what he saw and heard out there. In the coming weeks, our staff will publish the annual prep football special section with season outlooks for more than 50 teams in the region.

Now, a few recent stories:

Attracting more affordable housing and businesses and reworking Broad Street into a better pedestrian corridor were among the ideas revealed.
