- Weekend forecast: Saturday; high 63, mostly sunny/ Sunday; high 66, mostly sunny
- Recommended adventure: Camp and paddle at Harrison Bay. The state park is offering a new program designed for all skill levels. Those who sign up will be provided a canoe or kayak, camp gear, a night’s stay at Patton Hill and a ranger-led class that focuses on essential camping skills. The first program is scheduled for this Saturday, March 20, though more dates will be available throughout the spring and summer. To learn more call the park at 423-208-4993.
- Most interesting thing we recently learned: Bike the South, a new company that will provide guided tours of scenic cycling in the Southeast, is in search of guides, drivers and “escort riders” to work half, full and multi-day tours. The company is also seeking bikes that it can rent for the upcoming season, so you can make some extra cash with the bike that’s sitting in your garage.
