Chattanooga police investigating after two men shot at Coolidge Park

Chattanooga police are investigating a Sunday evening shooting at Coolidge Park that left two men injured, according to a news release.

Officers arrived at the park just before 6:30 p.m. to find a 31-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency services transported the man to a local hospital, where he was treated for an injury that was not life-threatening.

While they were still at the scene, police were notified that a 21-year-old man had also arrived a local hospital and was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

Both men, who have not been identified, told investigators that they were in the area of Coolidge Park when an unknown suspect began shooting at them.

The investigation is ongoing, and police ask anyone with information to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip through the CPD mobile app. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
