Prep blitz: Thursday could be a red letter day at the Spring Fling

It's shaping up for Thursday to be a red letter day at the Spring Fling.

The Baylor baseball and softball teams both moved into the championship series unbeaten so far through their respective tournaments. In fact, both teams have been so dominant this week that the biggest news would be if either didn't wrap up state titles by the end of the day.

The Lady Red Raiders will await the winner of the GPS versus St. Benedict game - to be played at 12:30 p.m. Eastern - with a shot to earn their sixth consecutive Division II-AA championship. Baylor clobbered GPS 12-1 Wednesday, and if it's the Bruisers who advance into the title series, it would mark the ninth time in 10 seasons those two rivals will face off for the championship.
