The Chattanooga Police Department is asking for help identifying a man suspected in a murder in the 500 block of North Willow Street on Sept. 27. The department released surveillance photos and video Wednesday.

Officers arrived at the scene that day on reports that a person had been shot. The victim, identified as Omar Escobar, was pronounced dead outside his home just before midnight.

The video shows a person running down the street wearing a yellow and green jacket. He was identified by police as a young Black male, 5-foot-8 to 6-feet in height, with a medium to stocky build.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that could lead to the identification of the suspect. If you have any information you can call the CPD Homicide Tip Line at 423-643-5100.
