Mullis represents the 53rd Senate District in Georgia that covers all of Walker and Dade counties, along with a majority of Chattooga County and portions of Catoosa County.

"Serving the people of Northwest Georgia has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. We have accomplished so much together, from protecting our Second Amendment rights, protecting the right to life, taking steps to secure our elections, passing pro-business legislation and so much more," Mullis said in a statement. "However, I believe we still have work to do."

Mullis, a self-described defender of conservative values, said he would work to pass measures that further guarantee fair elections, curb China's influence, secure the right to bear arms, stand up against vaccine mandates and keep critical race theory out of schools if re-elected.
