It’s great that the summer COVID-19 surge is behind us in the Chattanooga region, but I get the impression that some people think the threat of coronavirus is over. New cases in the region have been on the decline, but they’re not even as low as they were before the latest (and in many ways most severe) surge started, and testing is also much lower (so many more cases are out there than in the data).
Meanwhile, other areas of the country – such as Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Vermont and New Hampshire – are experiencing dramatic case spikes. So, continue to protect yourself and those around you as we head into the holiday season, and pay attention to how case trends may affect any travel plans.
Stay safe,
