Your Tuesday at a glance:

Good morning, Chattanooga!

This year’s state football championships will be a little closer to home, especially for the South Pittsburg Pirates.

The team will be heading to BlueCross Bowl at Finley Stadium this Friday after a 30-22 win against Cloudland High School.

“Our kids are just so resilient,” Pirates co-head coach Wes Stone said. “They just kept coming and kept fighting until we somehow found a way. I can’t say enough about the way this group just never gives up. That says a lot about their character.”

Here read about Friday’s game, how the players persevered through the season and their return to the championship after losing in the finale last year.
