Sargent reopens Chattanooga practice

Internationally recognized plastic surgeon Dr. Larry Sargent has opened a full-time practice in Chattanooga.

He returns after five years in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was awarded “Best in Salt Lake City” the past two years.

He is known as a leader in craniofacial surgery, maxillofacial trauma, and has a particular interest and expertise in cosmetic surgery. He has appeared on the Emmy Award-winning and nationally syndicated show The Doctors, where he discussed his innovative techniques in craniofacial surgery. His new office, located at 2290 Ogletree Ave. Suite 112, has a state-certified operative suite for all cosmetic procedures.

Sargent has a 30-year history in Chattanooga, where he founded and served as director of the nationally recognized Tennessee Craniofacial Center at The Children’s Hospital, serving patients with facial deformities in over 40 states and several countries.

“When the opportunity presented itself to come back to Chattanooga full time, I was excited to make the move. The South has always felt like home, with most of my career spent here in Chattanooga,” he said.

ALCO Management buys Battery Heights

ALCO Management Inc. has announced the purchase of mixed-income apartment community Battery Heights, marking its seventh purchase in the greater Chattanooga area since 2015, according to the company.

In addition to upgrading all kitchens, bathrooms, roofs, windows and more, ALCO will add a fitness center, WiFi, washer and dryer hookups, energy-efficient lighting and new security cameras.

“At ALCO, we think that by working together with our partners to create places that are affordable and that people are proud to call home, we can do our part to build community,” said ALCO Acquisitions & Development Analyst Thomas Robinson. “Chattanooga is a place that we already call home as a company, and we’re excited to expand our efforts there.”
