The destination, not the journey
I once took a Greyhound bus from Kentucky to Chicago to visit friends. My ticket cost about $12, making it by far the cheapest way to get there. But the quickest? Not by a long shot.
In a car, the trip would have taken about five hours. On a plane, less than two. The bus took 15, with multi-hour transfers in every major city along the route. More than a decade later, the memories of that trip resurfaced last month while editing our first story below – spotlighting the cities to which Chattanooga now offers direct flights. Among them? Chicago, of course.
