The High Five

› Tucker Patterson, Polk County: The senior guard scored 33 points and had five assists as the Wildcats (6-1) won 80-56 at Marion County.

› Brent Bowman, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe: He poured in 31 points as the Warriors won their GHSA Region 6-AAA opener over reigning champ LaFayette.

› Judah Sault, Cleveland: The senior forward scored 22 points (8-of-12 on field goals, 2-for-3 on 3-pointers, 4-of-5 on free throws) and added eight rebounds and three blocked shots to lead the Blue Raiders to a 57-46 home victory over Bradley Central.

› Leiah Henderson, Ringgold: The junior center had 18 points and 17 rebounds as the Lady Tigers (2-3) raced past Ridgeland, 57-43.

› Niya McGhee, East Hamilton: The senior guard had 18 points, eight steals and seven each in rebounds and assists in the Lady Hurricanes' 65-9 home win over Hixson.


BOYS

Boyd Buchanan 52, Notre Dame 48: Caden Johnson scored 22 points and added nine rebounds for the victorious Buccaneers (7-1), who received four 3-pointers from Ryan Lopez. The Fighting Irish made 11 3-pointers, four from Ben Houston, and were led in scoring by Cole McCormick with 17 points. Boyd Buchanan was sparked by Jaylon Moore's 16 rebounds and Brodie Johnston's four steals.

Silverdale Baptist 52, Bradley Knights 39: The Seahawks jumped out to a 16-5 lead and were paced by Houston Holland's 14 points.

Brentwood Academy 67, Baylor 52: Brentwood Academy's Athan Pohlman scored 22 of his game-high 26 in the first half, while Baylor was led by Zane Restelli's 18.

Signal Mountain 62, Soddy-Daisy 59: Christopher Kennedy led a fourth-quarter comeback for the Eagles with eight free throws.

Northwest Whitfield 72, Murray County 66: Caden Ramsey had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Gabe Perez added 12 points for the Bruins.

Ringgold 83, Ridgeland 43: Cooper Sexton had 19 of his game-high 26 points in the third quarter to lead the Tigers, who received 16 points from O'Reilly Matthews.

Sonoraville 68, Gilmer 63: Donovan McDaniel led the Phoenix with 22 points, with Jordyn Storey adding 19 points, 15 on 3-pointers.

Thursday

Silverdale Baptist 53, Collegedale Academy 45: Kennedy Okpara scored 19 points for the Seahawks, while Collegedale's Garret Gipson led all with 25 points and five 3s.

Grace Academy 58, Oakwood 24: Twelve players scored for the Golden Eagles, who were led by Logan Rice's 10 points.

Chattanooga Prep 68, Copper Basin 24: Derrick Roberson scored 16 points, including four 3s, and Ta'Suade Williams and Eli Gaines set the tone by combining for 23 first-half points for the Patriots (5-2).


GIRLS

LFO 80, LaFayette 34: Sisters Christen Collins and Christina Collins had 18 and 17 points, respectively, as the Lady Warriors improved to 5-0 by winning their Region 6-AAA opener.

Murray County 48, Northwest Whitfield 45: Ella Dotson led the Lady Indians (3-1) to victory with 12 points, with Bayleigh Winkler adding all nine of her points in the final quarter. Kennedy Baker and Sloan Pender led Northwest with 10 points each.

Sequatchie County 38, Sale Creek 32: Cana Green hit a pair of second-half 3s and led the Lady Indians to the win with 11 points.

Signal Mountain 39, Soddy-Daisy 31: Sophomore Carlee Lowry scored a game-high 11 points as the Lady Eagles (3-2) won.

Silverdale Baptist 60, Whitwell 31: Senior guard Kelsie Johnson scored 13 of her game-high 17 points in the first quarter for Silverdale. Johnson and Taylor Bledsoe (12 points) dominated the opening frame, while Braylee Raby scored 14 points. Whitwell's Addie Colvard had 15.

Tyner 53, Marion County 51: Kamari McCullough scored 10 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter for the winners, and Leah Mitchell also starred in the second half with 13 of her 17 points in the third quarter. Marion's McKenzie Mobley scored 18 of her 26 points in the final frame.

Bradley Central 47, Cleveland 37: Harmonie Ware scored 17 for the Bearettes in victory, while Milah Williams led all scorers with 20 for the Lady Blue Raiders.

Boyd Buchanan 50, Notre Dame 35: Sarah Durham made four 3s in a 21-point showing in the home district win over Notre Dame.

Trion 49, Coosa 32: Aubree Weaver had 15 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs (2-0) in their Region 7-A (Division I) opener.

Dalton 59, Heritage 36: Grace Ridley had another double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Emma Hefner had 19 points for the Lady Catamounts (2-2).

Thursday

Silverdale Baptist 57, Collegedale Academy 23: Kelsie Johnson hit a trio of 3s and scored a game-high 14 points for the Lady Seahawks, and Tori Gibson and Braylee Raby combined for 23 points.

Oakwood 39, Grace Academy 34: Savannah Engelbrecht and Taylor Adams combined for 21 points for the Lady Golden Eagles, who could not overcome a slow start in their loss.

McMinn Central 79, Polk County 39: Karina Bystry and Reagan Baker combined for 37 points and four 3-pointers, while Molly Masingale added 15 points for the Chargerettes.
