Monday's Best of Preps Stars of the Night

HIGH FIVE

› Shaun Pangle, Soddy-Daisy: The senior guard scored 18 of his game-high 26 points in a tough 63-61 road victory over the Chattanooga Patriots who made 10 3-pointers.

› Nehemiah Bloodsaw, Tyner: The senior scored 23 points to pace the Rams 91-62 win over Central.

› Skye Eddington, Lookout Valley: The Lady Yellow Jackets senior point guard had 21 points and seven steals in a 43-22 home win over CSLA.

› Jasen Brooks, Cleveland: The UC San Diego signee hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer in a 69-68 road win over Bearden.

› Jonathan Swanson, Chattanooga Patriots: The sophomore guard scored 20 points and made four of his team's 10 3-pointers against Soddy-Daisy.


BOYS' RESULTS

Chattanooga Prep 56, Howard 54: In just the second year of the program's existence, Chattanooga Prep landed its most significant win yet. Composed of just freshmen and sophomores, the Sentinels improved to 7-2 overall this season as freshman guard Derrick Roberson made five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points. He was joined in double figures by teammates Eli Gaines (13), Joel Bulis (11) and Ta'Suade Williams (10).

Howard's Jaylon Taylor scored 19 points and made three of his five 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and MyQuise Thomas finished with 17 points for the Hustlin' Tigers.

North Murray 88, Hixson 36: Zavon McDade and Judson Petty had 17 and 15 points, respectively, to lead five Mountaineers in double figures.

Lookout Valley 46, CSLA 41: DJ Kendrick starred with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets.


GIRLS' RESULT

Tyner 52, Central 13: Shy Harrison and Kamari McCullough combined for 27 points as the Lady Rams improved to 3-1 overall.
