From one UT to another.
Former Wyoming receiver Isaiah Neyor, who committed to Tennessee on Jan. 8 after entering the NCAA transfer portal, committed Thursday to Texas and announced that he had signed with Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns as well. Despite his nonbinding pledge to Josh Heupel’s Volunteers, Neyor visited Ole Miss last week and Texas earlier this week.
“Signed, let’s get it! #hookem,” Neyor posted Thursday on Twitter.
Neyor posted, “Vol Nation, let’s rock,” on Jan. 8, with Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker retweeting Neyor’s announcement with, “Yessir brudda let’s work.”
The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder from Fort Worth, Texas, led the Cowboys in 2021 with 44 receptions for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 19.95 yards per catch. Neyor has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Texas also added former Alabama tight end Jahleel Billingsley this week via the transfer portal.
