After helping the Tennessee Lady Volunteers secure their first Southeastern Conference soccer tournament title since 2008 this past November, Hannah Tillett is doing her best to help the Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves reach the first edition of the USL W League playoffs this summer.
Tillett was involved on both goals for Chattanooga in Friday's 2-1 victory at South Carolina United FC, the regular-season finale for the Lady Red Wolves. In the sixth minute, she scored from long distance - her team-leading sixth goal of the season - on an assist from Hollie Massey. Tillett then assisted on Sinoxolo Cesane's goal in the 20th minute to make it 2-0.
Chattanooga keeper Dani Krzyzaniak denied a breakaway attempt by South Carolina in the 14th minute and did not surrender a goal until the 90th minute.
The Lady Red Wolves (7-2-3) moved into first place in the South Central Division standings with 24 points. They will win the division and clinch a spot in the eight-team USL W League playoffs unless South Georgia Tormenta FC (6-1-4, 22 points) wins its regular-season finale against visiting South Carolina (5-4-2) on Sunday night.
