Markus Naglestad scores twice as Chattanooga FC rolls to road win

Markus Naglestad scored twice as the Chattanooga Football Club beat Flower City Union 5-0 in a National Independent Soccer Association match Saturday night in Rochester, New York.

Chattanooga FC improved to 9-2-3 overall and 8-1-3 in the NISA to strengthen its position atop the East Division standings. CFC's 27 points are seven more than the second-place Michigan Stars FC (5-2-5). Flower City Union is 3-13-2 against NISA foes and last in the five-team East.

Naglestad leads the league with 12 goals this season, and Roddy Green, Taylor Green and Alex Jaimes also scored Saturday for CFC, with Alec Redington in goal for the shutout.

CFC returns to competition Wednesday with another road match, a makeup contest against the fourth-place Syracuse Pulse (3-8-2). Afer that it's a home match next Saturday at Finley Stadium - the Independent Cup final against an opponent yet to be determined.
