Chattanooga’s new funny girl
Last fall, I received a postcard from California. On the back, a handwritten note thanked me for sending issues of Chatter and Get Out magazines.
“I’m not sure how you found me, but I’m glad you did!” wrote JJ Barrows, who introduced herself as an artist and outdoorsperson and explained that she was about to move from Santa Barbara to Chattanooga.
What’s funny – I never sent the magazines. I’m not sure who did. What’s funnier still – JJ Barrows herself. I checked out her Instagram account (@jjbarrows) and discovered that in addition to being a visual artist, she is an author and comedian – and my new favorite social media follow.
