- Celebrate dads. A recent survey of 1,000 Americans by gift company Manly Man Co., whose bouquets, cards, coupon books and neckties are all fashioned from beef jerky, found that a quarter of Americans may be dropping the ball on Father's Day. When asked if they had ever forgotten to get their dad a Father's Day gift, a combined total of 26% of respondents answered "yes" or "maybe." When men were asked the worst Father's Day gift they'd ever received, the answer was "nothing" from 22.3%, a necktie by 10.3% and socks by 4.9%. The oddest bad gift responses were: macaroni art, a bad letter, a pet rock, a fish plaque, a plunger, Pokemon cards and "a taxidermied alligator head."
