Good morning, Chattanooga!
Keeping fish and expanding their habitats can be a little addictive, according to Rob Johnson, owner of Aquatic Aesthetics in Hixson, Tennessee, and his friend, Ed Cejka.
“After having the store two years, I finally realized that – yes, I love fish, but I found out what I love more than fish [is] building my own stuff,” Johnson said. “[I enjoy] making my own filter systems, my own air systems. It’s just fascinating what you can build for a fish tank with just a little bit of understanding.”
The pair said they find the hobby to be more entertaining and consuming than you might think.
“In a couple weeks, after you’re done staring at your fish tank, you’re going to wonder, ‘OK, where did I put my TV remote?'” Johnson said.
