TO DO SUNDAY
- Check your closets: River City Co. is collecting formal attire to help high school students with some of the expense of going to prom. Donations of formal dresses, jewelry and shoes may be dropped off through March 25 at the River City offices, 850 Market St., Suite 200. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or you can email chattdressdrive@gmail.com to arrange a different drop-off time or pickup of your donations. Haley Wilson, venue and office manager for River City, says schools will be notified of the distribution date, which will allow teens to peruse the goods at Waterhouse Pavilion. Wilson says three Chattanooga businesses have already offered to help with the cause. Luma Designs is donating resources to create dressing rooms; RiverCity Apparel is donating hangers and dressing racks; and Southside Social will provide snacks for the shopping day. Any donated items not chosen during the distribution will be passed along to Cause Cloth Thrift & Boutique, which is operated by the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults.
