The next variant has arrived

The latest and most contagious COVID-19 variant yet – the Omicron BA.2 subvariant – was responsible for 35% of U.S. coronavirus cases last week, and cases are rising in numerous states, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It’s expected that this variant will soon become the dominant strain in the U.S., and although the Chattanooga region is still enjoying a COVID-19 lull, we should all be prepared for cases to rise again in the near future. Be sure to keep monitoring the trends so that you and your family can make the best informed decisions for your health.

Stay healthy,
