Monday's Best of Preps Stars of the Night

Angel Simmons, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe: The guard had 17 of her game-high 26 points in the second quarter as the Lady Warriors opened their season with a 68-11 win over Brainerd in the Chattanooga Christian School tournament.

Nick Smith, Tyner: The senior point guard helped the Rams rally from a 24-18 halftime deficit to Marist with four 3-pointers and six assists in the 55-51 comeback win over the Atlanta private school power. Nehemiah Bloodsaw scored 20 points, 14 coming in the second half.

Caden Johnson, Boyd Buchanan: The senior point guard scored 19 points while also gathering four steals and assists as the Buccaneers pulled away for a 55-46 victory over McCallie in the CCS Thanksgiving Classic.

Tucker Patterson, Polk County: The Wildcats senior guard scored 25 points while also dishing out five assists in a 69-59 victory over Sequoyah. Noah Shaw also stood out in helping Polk County move to 3-0 as he had 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Kelsie Johnson, Silverdale Baptist: She scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Lady Seahawks to a 62-45 Thanksgiving tournament victory at home over Grundy County. Braylee Raby added 17 in the win.

Monday boys' results

Arts & Sciences 74, Signal Mountain 38: Seven different players scored at least eight points for the Patriots in the Ridgeland Thanksgiving Classic victory. Signal's Chris Kennedy led all scorers with 12.

Silverdale Baptist 44, Central 35: Houston Holland scored 17 points to lead the Seahawks. Drew Williams also finished with 17 for Central.

East Hamilton 88, Southwest Whitfield 56: Ashton Munson scored a game-high 25 points and made five of the Hurricanes' nine 3-pointers.

Sequatchie County 70, Whitwell 35: Baron Cribbs scored 10 of his 20 points in the opening quarter to lead the Indians to victory.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 79, Chattanooga Christian 58: Amari Burnett led the Warriors with 20 points, with 12 coming in the second quarter when LFO outscored the hosts 27-16.

Saturday boys' results

Northwest Whitfield 82, Murray County 73: Tytus Ramsey and Gabe Perez led five players in double figures for the Bruins in their opener at the Ridgeland Thanksgiving Classic.

Arts & Sciences 72, Ringgold 56: At Ridgeland, Louis Bell led the winners with 18 points, 10 in the fourth quarter. O'Reilly Matthews, who scored his 1,000th-career point, led Ringgold with 17 points.

Monday girls' results

Howard 46, Central 32: Junior guard Emari Owens scored 17 points and was 5-of-6 from the free throw line in the home victory.

Boyd Buchanan 40, Ooltewah 34: Lady Bucs guard Sarah Durham led the way with 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and four steals.

GPS 50, Sequatchie County 43: Freshman forward Farrah House scored 17 points while McKamey Bratcher added 15 for GPS.

St. Pius X 41, Notre Dame 33: Maliyah Maples scored 13 points for the Lady Irish.

Walker Valley 73, Collegedale Academy 24: Madison Bischof had a game-high 22 points and added five steals for the Lady Mustangs.

Sonoraville 52, Armuchee 30: Kayleigh Kelley and Brynley Walraven had 15 and 10 points, respectively, to lead the Lady Phoenix.

Murray County 54, East Hamilton 45: Skyler Mahoney scored 14 points as she was one of three in double figures for the Lady Indians at the Ridgeland Thanksgiving Classic. Noa Woodruff starred for East Hamilton with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Saturday girls' results

Northwest Whitfield 65, Murray County 59: At the Ridgeland Thanksgiving Classic, Kennedy Baker scored 10 of her game-high 23 points in the third quarter for the Lady Bruins.

Arts & Sciences 72, Ringgold 54: Brooke Baldwin had 16 points and seven rounds to pace Ringgold at the Ridgeland Thanksgiving Classic.
