The High Five

Hunter Holmes, Gordon Lee: The senior forward scored 35 points in a 64-42 win over Dade County. Holmes scored 20 points in the first quarter and finished the night with seven 3-pointers as the Trojans improved to 3-0 on the season.

Christal Collins, East Hamilton: The sophomore point guard provided crucial stops defensively with five steals and also scored a game-high 19 points in the Lady Hurricanes' 55-40 victory over Northwest Whitfield. Noa Woodruff added 15 points and 10 rebounds for East Hamilton.

Chris Kennedy, Signal Mountain: The Eagles are off to a 3-1 start thanks in large part to the sophomore guard, who scored 23 points and made three 3-pointers in a 73-46 win over Coahulla Creek

Cal Rich, Southeast Whitfield: He scored 18 of his game-high 26 points in the second half to lead the Raiders to a 67-44 victory over Ringgold in the Ridgeland Thanksgiving tournament.

Cassidy Pawson, Signal Mountain: The senior guard scored 25 points as she helped the Lady Eagles climb back from a double-digit deficit to Coahulla Creek, who won 58-57 thanks to clutch free throws by Marlee Fossett. Signal's Carlee Lowry was stellar with 20 points.

BOYS

Boyd Buchanan 54, LFO 41: Caden Johnson scored 21 points to lead the Bucs, who are off to a 4-0 start. LFO's Brent Bowman made three 3-pointers and had 19 points.

McCallie 71, Ooltewah 22: Senior guard Manny Poulos connected on five 3-pointers and led the Blue Tornado to a lopsided victory with 19 points.

Watertown 41, Sequatchie County 31: Trent Spradlin scored 25 points for Watertown, while Baron Cribbs led Sequatchie with 16.

Knox Webb 68, Bradley Central 66: Trevor Carpenter scored 21 points, while Macias Daniel and Ramireon Taylor added 15 and 14 points, respectively, as the Bears fell to 2-1 on the season.

Chattanooga Prep 46, Silverdale Baptist 41: Derrick Roberson scored a game-high 17 points, while Taswade Williams added 15 to lead the Sentines (2-1).

Grace Academy 46, Hixson 40: Four different players finished with at least eight points for the Golden Eagles, who were led by Avery Ivarson's 12 points. Hixson's TJ Earls also scored 12 and made two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.

Monday

Heritage 65, Coahulla Creek 45: Kaleb Gallman scored 22 of his game-high 32 points in the second quarter for the 2-0 Generals.

GIRLS

Chattanooga Christian 43, Ooltewah 39: Lily Brady made three shots from beyond the arc in the first half on her way to finishing with a game-high 18 points for the Lady Chargers. MacKenzie Bernier made 9-of-10 free throws to lead Ooltewah with 17 points.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 49, Boyd Buchanan 43: Christen and Christina Collins each scored 19 points in the Lady Warriors' victory in the CCS Holiday tournament. Christen made four 3-pointers along with Boyd's Sarah Durham, who led all scorers with 20 points.

Grace Academy 27, Hixson 24 (OT): Savannah Engelbrecht scored a game-high 12 points, including the lone bucket in overtime to lead the Lady Golden Eagles to victory.

Polk County 58, Sequoyah 39: Miranda Clark, Callie Brewer and Aubrey Long each scored in double figures to lead a victory in which the Wildkittens made 26-of-35 free throws.

Dalton 52, Etowah 50: Grace Ridley had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Catamounts.
