Verizon says it has resolved issues with 911 service in Hamilton County

UPDATE: Verizon announced that it has resolved the problems its customers were having Tuesday with calling 911, according to Hamilton County 911 Emergency Communications District.

Hamilton County has received multiple reports Tuesday that some Verizon customers are experiencing issues dialing 911, according to a news release.

Verizon is working on the problem, which is affecting other areas of Tennessee, including Rhea and Davidson counties.

Customers who are having trouble connecting with 911 should call 423-698-2525 for assistance, the release states.
