FEED Co. celebrates 100th anniversary of United Way with Hands Up cocktail

Summer may be on its way out, but as the season's heat still lingers, you can trick your mind into thinking you are back at the beach once five o'clock rolls around. To bring awareness to the 100th anniversary of United Way of Greater Chattanooga, FEED Co. Table and Tavern and both locations of sister restaurant 1885 created a line of United Way-themed drinks including FEED's Hands Up, a light and refreshing cocktail with a name that references the organization's logo and mission of offering a "hand up" to people in need.

"The combination of rum and pineapple juice transports your taste buds to a tropical vacation without leaving the city," Tiffany Wilson, FEED Co. marketing director, says of the drink. "We actively participate in the lives of our city and are committed to working with area nonprofit organizations to make our community a better place to live, have fun and do business. United Way is celebrating their 100-year anniversary, and we are not only excited to recognize and celebrate this milestone but we are looking forward to celebrating the continued innovative impact for decades to come."

Hands Up from FEED Co.

What you need:

1 ½ ounces pineapple vodka

½ ounce Blue Curacao

2 ounces pineapple juice

What you do:

Pour all ingredients over ice and float the Blue Curacao.

What you need:

1 ½ ounces vanilla vodka

½ ounce Blue Chair Bay rum

½ ounce triple sec

½ ounce Blue Curacao

Splash of pineapple juice

Ginger ale

Lemon wheel

What you do:

Pour all ingredients over ice and top with ginger ale. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Cancun Cooler from 1885 Grill in Ooltewah

What you need:

1 ounce Blue Curacao

3/4 ounce triple sec

1 ounce tequila

1/2 ounce orange juice

1 ounce pineapple juice

What you do:

Pour all ingredients over ice.
