The Chattanooga Football Club picked up a big victory Wednesday night in California, 2-1 at Albion San Diego, to pull even with the Cal United Strikers in points in the National Independent Soccer Association standings.
Markus Naglestad and Alex McGrath scored for Chattanooga FC (10-3-6, 36 points), which is second in the standings due to having played four fewer matches than the Strikers (11-3-1). CFC lost 1-0 to the Strikers last month in Chattanooga, and the clubs played to a 2-all draw Sunday in California.
Fourth-place San Diego (5-3-5, 20 points) is seven points behind the Michigan Stars (7-3-6) in the eight-team standings.
CFC has five NISA regular-season dates remaining, starting with Saturday's 7:30 p.m. home match against the Los Angeles Force (2-6-6) at Finley Stadium.
