The Chattanooga Red Wolves scored two late goals to tie the first-place Richmond Kickers, 2-2, and split the points in a USL League One match Saturday night at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge.
Moe Espinoza scored in the 68th minute to cut the Kickers' lead in half, and Timmy Mehl tied it up 10 minutes later. Emilliano Terzaghi and Owayne Gordon scored eight minutes apart, one ending the first half and the other starting the second, as Richmond (13-7-6) took the early lead.
The Red Wolves (10-9-7) outshot the visitors 20-7, putting 10 shots on goal while working around a red card and four yellows.
The Kickers remain in first place with 45 points, with the Red Wolves fourth at 37, behind Omaha (10-5-11, 41 points) and Greenville (11-8-7, 40). The top six teams in the 11-team league make the playoffs.
