A juvenile has been arrested after Chattanooga police found a gun in a backpack outside Howard High School during school hours on Tuesday, according to a news release.
Police were notified around 10:15 a.m. about multiple juveniles outside the school. After officers arrived, they prepared to transport the juveniles back to school and found the firearm, the release stated, adding that police confiscated the gun and notified the parents. A juvenile was then arrested.
An investigation is ongoing, the release states.
