If you enjoy the bright palette of leaves and blooms that arrive in autumn, the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County can show you how to incorporate the change of seasons into your home landscape during the Fall Garden Festival on Saturday.

"Our mission is, 'We Teach You How,' and we look forward to meeting and educating the many interested gardeners in our area," Lisa Clark, the festival's chairwoman, said in a news release.

Clark said members of the volunteer organization will share their knowledge and expertise through a wide range of gardening and nature-related exhibits and demonstrations.

"In addition, there will be a selection of vendors with plants, trees and shrubs, plus handmade foods, nature-inspired crafts and other items, as well as fun and educational activities for children," she said.

Also scheduled Saturday is the Pick'n & Get'n Market at the Tennessee Riverpark. The vendor gathering in the early part of the day will be followed by a concert by the Ringgold, Georgia-based country band Seth David Coley and the Rabbit Valley Boys.

Other events around the region this weekend highlight pumpkins, apples and fried pickles. Meanwhile, the Campus Choir of Lee University is traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, for opening weekend of the Harvest Festival and Great Pumpkin LumiNights at Dollywood. The ensemble is among six acts performing Saturday.
