The Chattanooga Red Wolves lost 1-0 to Central Valley Fuego FC in a USL League One match Saturday night at CHI Memorial Stadium.

The announced crowd in East Ridge was 2,512.

The Red Wolves, coming off a scoreless draw in their season opener, got a solid performance from their defense and goalkeeper Ricard Jerez, but Central Valley, playing its first league match of the year, negated that when Ronald Alexis Cerritos broke through in the 63rd minute.

Chattanooga’s four-game homestand to start the season will continue when it hosts USL Championship member Birmingham Legion FC in a U.S. Open Cup second-round match at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Red Wolves then resume league play when One Knoxville Sporting Club visits at 7:30 p.m. next Saturday.
