A body was found Tuesday near railroad tracks in the 3200 block of Harrison Pike, according to Chattanooga police.
Officers arrived at the scene around 2:40 p.m. and found the body in an advanced stage of decomposition. The manner of death, age and sex of the body are unknown because of the body’s condition, according to a news release.
An investigation is ongoing.
